In-app scanner availability in WiaBs

For our project Savitas QR, a COVID-19 contact tracing solution which we released in the first wave of the Corona pandemic, we used an in-app QR scanner to add functionality within the project. We have now made this functionality easily accessible from within a Website in a Bag (WiaB), via the Bridge SDK.

You can access this functionality using the Bridge.Scanner.Scan() call.

Scanning possibilities include:

  • QR codes, barcodes and datamatrix codes;

  • Single scans: the moment the scanner recognises a code it stops;

  • Multiple scans: can 'gather' a number of scans in succession. You can choose to either limit the number of scans or keep scanning until the scanner is closed.

We've recorded a short demo of the scanner in action:

Email notification in the SDK

You can now send an email using the SDK to all registered users of a bag via the viewObj.notify('Mail message') call.

Share bag and save bag in the Bridge SDK

The share bag and save bag functionalities are now accessible through the Bridge SDK via

Bridge.View.shareBag()

and

Bridge.View.saveBag({bagName:'Bag Name', displayText:'Text to display in the Save Bag dialog UI'})

calls.
