Virtual files are files that are not actually uploaded to the bag. Instead you define how the file should act once the user clicks on it. E.g.: download a file from somewhere else and serve it to the user.

To create a virtual file click on 'Add virtual file' under the ⋮ menu. Next, select the type of virtual file you want to add and enter the required details. The different types of virtual files are discussed below.

Types of virtual files

A link is a very simple virtual file. When a user clicks on the link, it opens the URL in his browser.

HTTP

The HTTP virtual file allows you to determine the contents of your virtual file by downloading it from another HTTP server. This is a very basic but diverse type of virtual file. For example, it allows you to do requests to web APIs.

Epsilon

The Epsilon virtual file allows you to determine the contents of virtual file based on a snippet of JavaScript code.
